A Mineral Makeup GIVEAWAY!!!

One day I read on someone’s blog about Mineral Makeup and decided to give it a try.  I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MINERAL MAKEUP!!  It has a way of covering things up that normal, cakey, liquid makeup can’t.  It has a way of giving a beautiful, natural looking glow to your face that has people stopping and giving you compliments…. and us girls can never have too much of that!

I was given some mineral makeup to review by {Jenni with Affordable Mineral Makeup}.  For having such great prices, the quality definitely earned an A+ from me!  I love the selection and love even more that there is shimmery stuff!!!  I am a firm believer that wearing shimmer sends uplifting vibes into the world…. and we all know we can’t have enough of that!!!!

My favorite thing EVER that she sent to me was the Satin Lip Gloss…. HEAVENLY!  I love the feel of satin and on my lips is even better!!

I LOVE Mineral Makeup, but one thing I don’t like about the stuff is the price. The price can be a killer, but luckily there is some pretty dang good stuff out there…. and AFFORDABLE!!! I’m hinting towards my husband here for my stocking! Maybe you should hint to yours!!

Things I Love Thursday – Burt’s Bees Baby Bee

I LOVE The Burt’s Bees Baby Bee products. With all the icky stuff being added to all of the baby products that can cause reproductive problems (this might be way some women can’t have kids… scary!) I am at east knowing that Ella is not being effected by this. And that she smells super yummy!

If you haven’t tried their line yet, I highly recommend it. A bottle of the Shampoo/Body Wash lasts me a couple of month. I’ve only bought 3 in Ella’s 18 months.

Over at Diaper Diaries there are other things that people love, so if you’re interested head over there and read up on the entries. Plus, she’s giving away something kinda cool today!!

Did she really say deodorant on her boobs?!?! Yes I DID!

It’s Works for Me Wednesday!! I’m gonna share a tip that can come off as a little gross, but it’s what works for me… DAILY! This heat is killing me ~ I cannot stand being sweaty. It DRIVES ME CRAZY! What’s worse is I have these boobs on me that are huge compared to what I’m used to. I wasn’t that small before, but ever since my pregnancy with Ella, I’m big – and big means SWEATY!

I told you this was gross, so if you’re offended then I guess I just lost you as a reader, but if you’re a woman, and a woman with boobs then I’m assuming that you’re still reading. When I am going through my morning routine I grab my deodorant and put it on my underarms, then I put it under my boobs and in between. Waaalaaa no sweaty boobs.

There’s a lot of other great tips going on over at Shannon’s blog.

Friday Favorites

Friday Favorites!!! Hope you enjoy and please go check out these girls’ blogs!!

The microwave in my house gets dirty quick. And it’s always kinda difficult to clean for some reason. I just read on Squibs and Crackers that you microwave a bowl for 5 minutes w/part vinegar in it and part lemon juice. After the 5 minutes is up it’s an easy wipe off. I think I might go buy some lemon juice and try this out tomorrow.

I throw my heels of my bread away. I don’t like them. I read on GreenStyleMom today how to make them into breadcrumbs! Whole wheat breadcrumbs at that. Put the bread in the broiler for a few seconds – just to dry out – then put in your blender or food processor then put in jar and use as bread crumbs! SCORE! So using this technique.

Do you LOVE baked potatoes? I do. I love potato anything. I learned from Beans & Rice that if you wash your potato, poke holes in them and then wrap in foil you can place them in your CROCKPOT (MY BEST FRIEND) and cook on high for 2 1/2-4 hours or low 6-8 hours and you will have perfect, moist potatoes…. how perfect is that?

Have a Cup of Jesus has a great idea!! Olive Oil for make up remover and skin moisturizer. Just might have to try this one too!

Friday Favorites

If you are reading this then the chances are you read my blog. And if you read my blog you know that I participate in a couple of weekly carnivals that involve me giving tips to my readers and linking my readers to another blog where more tips are involved. Believe it or not, I actually spend a couple of hours reading through a lot of the tips and I learn amazing things from them! Life transforming things! So I started thinking my family, friends, readers all need to hear about the things that I have learned from others. So on Fridays I am going to be posting a thread called Friday Favorites. It will be tips that I have learned through these carnivals that I participate in. So here is the first Friday Favorites.

EYE MAKEUP REMOVER
Ingram Gang posted an awesome idea on Eye Makeup Remover: Mix equal parts of baby shampoo and water. She talks of how she used to use Clinique eye makeup remover and actually uses that container for her new cheap creation! AND it works as good! Baby shampoo is tear free – so it works great. I actually tried this and it worked!!!

BEST CHORE/ROUTINE CHART EVER
Weird, Unsocialized Homeschoolers posted about this chart that she made that had me running to the store to buy the supplies. I wish I would’ve thought about this before. I suck at the whole sticker chart thingy and this is PERFECT!! CLICK HERE to go to her blog to read about it – she has pictures and everything. If you are a mom I highly suggest you check this out.

BABY WIPES
CC posted a little secret that I never would’ve thought of in a million years. Baby wipes can be washed and dried many times before falling apart. I would never do this after wiping up my baby after changing her diaper, but baby wipes are great for rags, napkins, and from what she says has saved her money reusing them. She talks more about it on her blog so if you’re interested CLICK HERE

HOMEMADE FEBREEZE RECIPE
Stepford Wife’s Guide to Home Making posted about this and this one just got me downright excited. I have come to realize that I really do not like Febreeze. I love the idea of it, but the smell has just gotten old to me. Well, this recipe that she’s shared is amazing!! Here it is:
1/2-1 Cup of Fabric Softener (your choice of your favorite flavor!)
1 Cup of White Vinegar
2-3 Cups of Water (If you are using 1/2 cup of fabric softener then use 2 cups of water, if you’re using 1 cup of fabric softener use 3 cups of water)

BEST PARENTING ADVICE EVER
Frazzmom posted a few tips when going out w/your children. They are worth reading so if you are a mom of a younger child please read this. CLICK HERE

I hope you enjoyed these tips and make sure you check back on Tuesday for Kitchen Tip Tuesday, Wednesday for Works For Me Wednesday & Friday for Friday Favorites!! And in between all that for a little bit of love, hate, parenting, stress, happiness basically life and me all rolled up in one.
