Ba da ba ba ba I’m LOVIN IT!

Tidy Mom I'm Lovin It Fridays

Working is weird to me.

I seriously cannot believe that at one point in time I did this for

SO. MANY. YEARS!

I was excited to participate in Tidy Mom’s I’m LOVIN’ IT FRIDAYS, but then I realized that my life has been so consumed by BLAH WORK that I don’t really know exactly what it is that I really have been lovin… I feel like even though I’m at home at night it goes by so quickly and then I’m back at work.

It’s okay though, because what gets me through is knowing that at the end of October I’ll be back at home with my precious, spunky 3 year old princess….. and we’ll be anxiously awaiting the arrival together throughout the days of the newest little princess that will be blessing our lives in December.

SO I decided for today that I wanted to just talk about the fun blogs that I have discovered this week for I’M LOVIN’ IT FRIDAY!  Seriously, people…. I am LOVING these blogs!

I’m totally pregnant by the way, so I’m sure you knew that I would be featuring probably the best 2 food blogs out there!  First we have

~ A SOUTHERN FAIRYTALE  ~

I would put her blog button right here for ya’ll to click, but I’m not seeing one on her blog….. but I promise, click on her name and you’ll be in love too.  Looking at her Mouth Watering Mondays I think I might have gained some more weight…. and the doctors will be thrilled by this!

NEXT we have the lovely

When I arrived at her blog I think I heard angels singing in the background…. seriously.  She has recipes that are SO EASY and make you want to bust out your heels, put on that cute apron and play Martha, or Rachel or whoever your favorite foodie is.  {I’m still a little bitter right now that I’m having to be at work… while I could be at home… COOKING!}

My very next favorite discovery of the week is No Time for Flashcards
No Time For Flash Cards

Dude, she’s hands on with her kid, which is THE BEST and she has the best ideas. When I am at home {oh dear Sweet November how I long for you} I am stealing every one of her ideas. Period. And miss Princess Diva Ella and I will be having the time of our lives. Not that we can’t do it all when I get home from work, but I do need to be spending my time practicing the above blog’s ideas in the kitchen until bedtime… you know, because

I’m pregnant and HUNGRY!

I am joking, people. Kinda.

Aloha Friday – Friday Favorites

Aloha Friday!!!! And of course my Friday Favorites…. Let’s start w/the Friday Favorites:

New Blog that I LOVE: {Twin-Spiration}  LOVE IT! Kandi is an absolutely amazing girl and I love her to death, the fact that she now has a blog is AWESOME!

Ella ~ She’s my best little friend. I have got to say that one of my favorite things that I want to talk about this Friday is the fact that I’m home with her. I couldn’t FATHOM having to leave her with someone and go to work. Miss out on all of the fun we have together through the day. It baffles me that people actually only spend a couple of hours in the evening with their kids. That would CRUSH. MY. HEART.

Jayden ~ my little man. Oh my little man! We went to my inlaws this week and they for the firt time really got a chance to see what being a grandparent to our kids is all about. We actually left them for an entire day…. keep in mind I’ve NEVER left Ella for that long, but they did GREAT. My MIL told me how if Ella was out of the room that he was in he’d check on her and make sure that she’s okay. He’s so protective of her. I love that… and I love him.

My husband is totally awesome and this week I’ve seen his eyes light up and him grasp and understand my passion for my new mission in life to better our life.  I’m so excited to have him on board with me and brainstorming with me.  I really love this man.

Okay now for ALOHA FRIDAY!

What are you dreams, and what are you doing to achieve them?

Make sure you join in and answer the ?’s of many others over at  {Island Life}

Friday Favorites #1 ~ Aloha Friday Family Activites?

I have one carnival going on, and sometimes people link up, and sometimes they don’t. That’s okay with me… it’s okay, because I started the carnival to guarantee my readers that once a week I will post something inspiring… and hopefully it will motivate their Mondays. Now, I’m starting up another. Do I hope to see people link up? ABSOLUTEY… but even if I don’t link ups, Friday Favorites will still be here.  If you want to skip all this Friday Favorites stuff and head straight over to the Aloha Friday question please scroll down 🙂

I love to do Friday Favorites, and I just usually ramble away with them. I thought about maybe structurizing it a bit this week and adding a linkup – you are more than welcome to link up your Friday Favorites.

Since I’m structurizing I figured I’d go ahead and add some topics below… the names are my kids’ names, you can do whatever subjects that you wish…. but these are the subjects I’m mainly going to stick with.  I may add some other weeks, but these are my main ones!

Accomplishments:  This week I accomplished my huge laundry pile… that by far is my favorite accomplishment.  I know, boring but a favorite of mine!

Jayden: I overheard Jayden tell his friend not to say God, and to say Gosh instead. For the first time since starting Kindergarten Jayden has found a “real” friend that he really connects with. I see major differences and similarities between the two. I hope that Jayden continues to be the good example that he is. I can’t even express how proud I am of him.

Ella: Oh boy, this girl is TOO MUCH! She started swim lessons this week and we have had so much fun doing them!!  My favorite thing of this week is that she showed that she has a huge heart and loves to see the excitement of others.  I noticed this today at her swim lesson where she wasn’t throwing a fit when other’s were getting turns… instead she just showed excitement.

Marriage: I know that marriage is one of the hardest things, but I am a strong believer in fighting through it all. I feel fortunate that we are both at a very good point in our marriage. My favorite thing about this week to do with my marriage is that I personally am trying to do things to make my husband happy without expectations back.

Favorite Blog of the Week: Definitely 110% my fav new blog for this week is {A Place to Bloom}. It is definitely a place where you can bloom as a mother and wife. One of the writers of the blog is a dear friend of mine and I absolutely love what they are doing.

Favorite Blog Post of the Week (not my own): Believe it or not it’s also from A Place to Bloom. I found {this post} and instantly LOVED it. It’s about spending time together as a family and I believe it is a VERY important thing. This guest poster over at A Place to Bloom had this post very well written.

Photography:  Today, actually, I was referred to somebody to do their wedding.  I’m nervous, but figure I have to start somewhere right?  Another favorite is I finally printed my first 20×30 prints and they were of my beautiful children… I am absolutely in LOVE with the results.  I love walking into my home and seeing such huge displays of what I believe is the most beautiful thing on this planet.

Now for {Aloha Friday}

What is your favorite thing to do as a family?  I’m talking simple, something that can be done on a weeknight type of a thing.

Friday Favorites and RSS or Follow??

Friday absolutely rocks! I totally have been neglecting my Friday Favorites lately, so I figured I’d try to start back up again in doing this and combine them with my Aloha Fridays.
If you’re here for Aloha Friday and frankly don’t care of about my favorite things this week, then you can scroll down to the question.

While on a hike for pictures, my friend {Brittany} and I were talking and my 8 year old son actually said to us, “For pete’s sake! Less talking more walking!” I’m telling you, people, the things that comes out of this kid’s mouth is UN-NORMAL…. WOW!

Ella’s vocabulary has EXPLODED! A few of my favorite new phrases, “Are you ready to rock?!?!” “NO WAY!” “SERIOUSLY??” She is just a total crackup!

The week was pretty laid back, so sadly those are the only favorites that come to my mind… oh, and we had WONDERFUL picnics… on Sunday we had one as a family and on Tuesday we had one with Brittany and baby Paxton.

OKAY! Now for {Aloha Friday}!!

I tend to take simple things and dissect them to completely understand the point. I know, it’s a flaw, but I hate double doing something and if there’s 2 of something I need to understand what the major differences are, and why choose one over the other.

When going to subscribe to a blog to get updates when they update do you subscribe via RSS or do you follow their blog?
I hate that there are 2 ways to do this and don’t know which one is better. I notice that if I follow a blog their updates go in my Google Reader anyways. What do you do? I think I’ve decided to follow if there is a follow gadget on their blog, and if there’s not then I’ll subscribe via RSS. I tried putting the Google Follow Gadget on my blog, but it gets errors for some reason…. so I’m working on this for the people who like to follow more than subscribe.

I can’t wait to hear other’s thoughts on this, because it’s something I know is SO SIMPLE, but I just need to know how other’s determine which way to use.

Friday Favorites – MAKEOVER!!

This is Garibay Soups 3rd makeover. I have to say that this is my favorite so far. Pink and black are by far my most FAVORITE colors together, and my blog is a reflection of me.

It’s Friday and I’m picking up my Friday Favorites ~

  1. I picked up Tweeting again and am LOVING it! I even got my mom, sister, husband and best friend & cousin to join in with me. It’s fun having us all be connected since we’re all away from each other. The internet is a great way to stay connect ~ I always wonder how the world worked w/out it.
  1. Ella now tells me if she has to go poop!!! If she has an accident in her pants she’ll run to me with her big eyes and say, “Mama! Poop in pants!” ~ I hope to have her in undies for her 2nd birthday, but I’m not pushing it.
  1. We had a relaxing week! We have been running like crazy lately, and this was the first week in a while that I stayed home a lot and started to get back into some of my routines.
  1. I may have found a solution to my bloody nose problem! I know I didn’t talk about it on here, but I have been waking up with bloody noses and finally went to a doctor and I am taking benedryl at night and IT’S WORKING! I actually can breathe and feel SO much better.

And sadly, but thankfully this was such a layed back week that I really don’t have any more favorites to talk about. So, this just might have been the most boring post you’ve ever read on my blog 🙂 Hope you at least enjoy the new makeover 😉

Friday Favorites

Yesterday I was so busy I forgot to post my Friday Favorites!!! This is what’s scary… every day we wake up loving our life (well, I do) and appreciating the day and it seems like such an important day for some reason. Well, at the end of the week you sit down to think about the best parts of your week, because you didn’t write them down ~ and you can’t.

  1. I bought a new posturpedic computer chair that I’ve fallen in love with
  2. On Monday my husband and I accomplished the world in our home ~ we finished projects that we’ve been working on for a while now. We’re still on our organization mission, and are almost completed with the house….. then we move back into the garage.
  3. Ella has still been doing pretty well on her potty training, but still has her accidents – but announces them right away with an, “UH OH!!!! PEEEEEEEEEEE PEE!” Her cuteness kills me I tell you.
  4. I finally found an assistant that won’t break the bank! My little sister, Alyssa, came over on Friday and helped me out by cleaning my bathrooms and other things around the house. I decided that I’ll be paying her to come over once a week for 4 hours to clean the bathrooms (my most hated job) and then work on projects for my work for me… if needed.
  5. We bought Sophie a new crate because her small one was just plain out too small for her. I’m actually really beginning to love her. I never realized it until just recently. Last night we went to my Grandma’s hotel room and she met her dogs for the first time and dang she’s so cute!!! However, she did pee on my sister in the car on the way home LOL
  6. Jayden got his yellow belt at Karate!!!! I’m so proud of my little man!

So, next week I’ll try to do my Friday Favorites with some pictures from the week.

Friday Favorites

Been a while, but I want to get back into this…..

My favorites of this week are as follows:

  • Jayden finally made it to the dentist for the first time and did AMAZING! My 7 year old doesn’t even have a cavity. I’m so proud of him 🙂 I highly believe that this is because I never let him go to bed with a bottle or anything to suck on, but it might just be because he’s a super star brusher.
  • My superstar husband helped me to start clearing out the clutter out of our garage. We have one section completed and a shelving thing in its place. I love organization, even though I suck at it, and am glad we’re on an organizing mission. He also cleared off our old kitchen table and carried upstairs so that it can serve as a return on my desk. I LOVE IT!!! We were actually going to spend money on a new desk and now I really have no reason. I can even use my table as my sewing area…. THANKS WONDERFUL HUSBAND!!
  • Ella has begun potty training and to my shock and surprise is doing amazing with it! My little girl isn’t even 2 and is telling me when she needs to go potty and even held up on a 2 1/2 hour outing of the house!! WTG, Ella!!
  • We got to bring in my husband 28th year with him. Thursday was his birthday and we got to go as a family to dinner. Amazing thing is – we got together when he was 18. We’ve last almost 10 years together and 5 years of marriage. I love him. Here’s to another year of his life that will be spent with ME!!
  • Jayden tested for another belt in Karate. He got called on in Karate class to give a Code of Ethics and he said, “I will forget my mistakes and concentrate on the future.” That made me proud. He makes me proud. I sure was blessed with a special little boy. I can’t wait until we find out if he earned his belt!! I think he did a great job.

That pretty much sums up my favorite things of this week. I love my life. I know sometimes I can complain and get overwhelmed and discouraged, but at the end of the day….I love my life, and I’m so thankful for it and the many blessings that are poured on my family. I’m excited for the next week to come and to talk about my favorite things.

Friday Favorites

It’s been a few weeks since I’ve displayed my favorites of the week. This week I’m going to do something a little different. I’m going to give some of my favorite highlights of my week.

  • My mom got a great job and I am so happy for her!!! Congrats to you, Mom!
  • Jayden read an entire book to me all by himself. I only helped with the really big words.
  • My husband is still here even though I’ve been a hormonal psycho wife – I love you, Gino!
  • I completed my 2006 taxes and am pleased to know that I’m actually getting a pretty nice refund
  • My husband is going to start reading the Book of Mormon with me – HUGE STEP!

Friday Favorites

Friday Favorites!!! Hope you enjoy and please go check out these girls’ blogs!!

The microwave in my house gets dirty quick. And it’s always kinda difficult to clean for some reason. I just read on Squibs and Crackers that you microwave a bowl for 5 minutes w/part vinegar in it and part lemon juice. After the 5 minutes is up it’s an easy wipe off. I think I might go buy some lemon juice and try this out tomorrow.

I throw my heels of my bread away. I don’t like them. I read on GreenStyleMom today how to make them into breadcrumbs! Whole wheat breadcrumbs at that. Put the bread in the broiler for a few seconds – just to dry out – then put in your blender or food processor then put in jar and use as bread crumbs! SCORE! So using this technique.

Do you LOVE baked potatoes? I do. I love potato anything. I learned from Beans & Rice that if you wash your potato, poke holes in them and then wrap in foil you can place them in your CROCKPOT (MY BEST FRIEND) and cook on high for 2 1/2-4 hours or low 6-8 hours and you will have perfect, moist potatoes…. how perfect is that?

Have a Cup of Jesus has a great idea!! Olive Oil for make up remover and skin moisturizer. Just might have to try this one too!

Friday Favorites

This week was backwards week for Works for me Wednesday so I really don’t have many favorites. I did get great advice on my problems w/Jayden eating unhealthy. I actually tried a trick with him yesterday when he got home from school and told him that Mickey Mouse called and told me to give him a magic bean stalk w/peanut butter. Jayden believed me and actually ate celery w/peanut butter. I almost cried! I am going to invest in the Deliciously Deceptive book. I might even buy the one that was before that one…I heard it’s better 🙂

If you are looking for advice on a certain topic, I highly suggest looking through Wednesday’s WFMW at Shannon’s blog CLICK HERE – you can look through the titles that people posted and if one interests you then click on it and many people gave their tips and opinions on those certain topics.

I added a couple new blogs to my blog roll and am going to feature them here.

GoofyJ has a blog called My Adventures and Antics. She is a wonderful LDS mom who also has a heart baby. Her son doesn’t have what Ella has, but when I was reading her story it was amazing how in ways it was close to mine. It flooded me with memories of that life changing day I went through. I’m excited to start reading her blog and connecting with a wonderful woman who has so much in common with me.

Another blog I added is Elizabeth’s Thoughts From The Turtle Pond. She left a comment on my plea for help on lowering my husband’s blood pressure. She too has a husband who has high blood pressure and posts recipes that are healthy. I’m anxious to start cooking up some good stuff for my husband to enjoy.

I also added a link to a blog called Calling All LDS Woman Bloggers. I’ve always searched for other LDS mama blogs and am so happy to have found this blog! There’s a blog roll with many LDS woman blogs. So if you’re interested go check some of them out. If you’re curious about what LDS (Latter Day Saints) members believe please CLICK HERE – we don’t bite, I promise.

Those are my favorites for this Friday Favorites. I hope you all had a wonderful week…. and DON’T FORGET TO CHANGE YOUR CLOCKS SATURDAY NIGHT BEFORE YOU GO TO BED!!!!!
